Google automatically updates Google Chrome extensions in your browser.  When an updated extension is released, your Google Chrome Browser will "check-in" with Google at various intervals throughout the day to do the update.

To ensure you get the updates, quit Google Chrome completely at least once a week:

1.  Quit Google Chrome by clicking on Chrome in the top left-hand corner of your screen, and Click Quit Google Chrome

Make sure Google Chrome is updated (some extensions require the latest version).

1.  Click on Chrome in the top left-hand corner of your screen, and click on About Google Chrome.

2.  Google Chrome should say "Checking for updates" (toward the top center of the screen).

3.  If Google Chrome finds an update, you will see an option to "Relaunch" to automatically install the update, click on Relaunch.

4.  Google Chrome will be updated.  Extension update will happen automatically at various intervals, but if you need to get the update soon, see below.

To manually force Google Chrome to update extensions (for example: Google Meet Grid View):

1.  Click on Window in the top Chrome Menu, then click on Extensions.

2. In the top right corner of the screen, click on Developer mode and turn it on.

3.  On the top left part of screen, click on Update and wait about 30 seconds.

4.  In the top right corner of the screen, click on Developer mode and turn it off.

5.   Quit Google Chrome by clicking on Google Chrome in the top left hand corner of your screen, and Click Quit Google Chrome

6. Relaunch Chrome.
