When preparing a Chromebook for storage or prolonged periods of non-use, Lenovo recommends to follow the steps below to maximize the battery life and minimize the downtime when redeploying your Chromebook.

Step 1: Plug in the Chromebook, and turn it on.

Step 2: Press and hold Power + Refresh, and unplug the charger from the Chromebook

Step 3: Continue holding Power + Refresh for 10 seconds

Step 4: Press the power button to verify that the Chromebook does not turn back on.

Quick Note:

The Chromebook will not turn back on until it's been plugged back into power.
