There are many great features available in Securly Classroom. Many of those features are outlined below, but we also suggest signing up and taking Securly's free Device Console training. Click this link to be taken to the training. You will need to create an account on this site by selecting the "Create an account" link.
Please note the Securly Classroom only works within the Chrome browser on a student Chromebook. Android Apps, which are typically the tablet Apps, are not able to be controlled or viewed using Securly Classroom.

Lock Chromebooks into one or more websites in Securly Classroom
If you would like to force a student's Chromebook to stay locked on a specific site, the video below shows you how to do that. This might be useful for making sure students can't navigate away from a website while taking a test. You could also use this feature to lock a Chromebook into a static site like our Upper St. Clair School District webpage, effectively disabling the Chrome browser on a Chromebook.

You have the ability to announce, allow the students to virtually raise their hands, and initiate a teacher to student chat with a student in Securly Classroom. All the interaction with any of the students is logged for future reference.

Sharing your screen with students using Securly Classroom
You have the ability to share your screen with a student or an entire class in Securly Classroom. Please note that there will be some lag between what you do on your computer and what your students will see.
