When a parent requests a change to their email address, we cannot surmise that they also want that to be their new username for the Parent Portal. Focus has a built in security feature that protects everyone from unfavorable consequences. Therefore, the email field in Addresses & Contacts does not automatically update the parent's email address in their User profile. Focus also offers an easy solution to eliminate data entry errors.
1. Find the appropriate parent email address listed in Addresses & Contacts and click the green clipboard icon as shown below:
2. Paste the email address into the User's profile as shown here:
