Every year, high school students complete an online course registration process. This process involves reviewing course recommendations from teachers and selecting courses for the upcoming school year at the high school. Please follow the steps below to review your student’s course recommendations and selections:

1. Log in to the Focus Parent Portal. Your username is the email address that's associated with your account.

2. Use the dropdown menu in the top right corner to change the school year from the current school year, 2023-2024, to the next school year, 2024-2025.

3. The colors will turn red as a reminder that you are currently not in the active school year. In the left navigation pane, click Class Requests.

4. The Class Requests screen will list all courses that were recommended by your student's teachers and selected during the online course registration process. Carefully review the Class Requests to be sure all grade-level course requirements are being met. Use the Four Year Planning Guide as a resource.

Elective Priority: Students may indicate alternate elective courses by using the Elective Priority feature. Any elective(s) with a priority of “2” or higher will only be scheduled if the elective with priority “1” is unavailable. Every effort will be made to schedule electives with a priority of “1” and students may prioritize multiple electives as “1.”

IMPORTANT: Electives with a priority of “2” or higher will NOT be scheduled unless an elective with a priority of “1” is unavailable.
