You can add a web shortcut to a website you access frequently (ex: Canvas or morning announcements) to your Chromebox shelf.

Navigate to the site you would like to add.

  1. Select the “3 dots” menu in Chrome

  2. Select “Save and Share"

  3. Select “Create shortcut…” (UPDATE: Some versions of Chrome may have different menu options.  You may need to tap "More Tools" then "Create shortcut")

  1. Type a name for your new shortcut.  Then tap “Create.”

The new shortcut will be created in your Launcher.

To add the shortcut to your shelf:

1. Tap and hold the newly created shortcut and choose “Pin to shelf.”  Note: When you pin a shortcut to your shelf, the app will stay there until you move or remove it.

The new shortcut will be added to your shelf.

To Add an App to your Chromebox Shelf for quick access, use the same process described above:

In the bottom left corner of your screen, select the Launcher .

Find the app you want to add.

Tap and hold the app icon.

Select Pin to Shelf.

Note: When you pin an app to your shelf, the app will stay there until you move or remove it.

The entire process is shown in the video below:
