The following is a step-by-step open enrollment process with example selections.

 

 

Sign-in to the Tyler Employee Access using your SSO account.

 

 

Select My benefits and choose Enrollment

 

 

Each benefit selection needs to be completed, which is done so by clicking on each respective Make selection button.

 

 

Below, the entire set of benefit selections to be completed is shown.

 

 

A Plan resources button shows documents related to the associated benefit and is available for each benefit.  Also, each selection for every benefit is accompanied by a View details button, which further explains the associated benefit selection.


The Summary of Benefits is the first benefit in the list.  Once you have reviewed the benefit, choose Acknowledge and then click the Save selection button.

 

 

As with each benefit, you can alter your selection by using the associated benefit's Update button. 

 

 

The Medical Insurance benefit is broken into multiple categories as detailed below.

 - EPO health plan offering for those making less than $40,000 per year

 - EPO health plan offering for those making more than $40,000 per year

 - PPO health plan offering for those making less than $40,000 per year

 - PPO health plan offering for those making more than $40,000 per year

- waiving health care coverage

 

The following shows an example selection, electing healthcare coverage for the employee and family.

 

 

The example requires adding dependents.  Note that checking or unchecking the boxes for Is disabled, Is a student and Is a smoker is not necessary.

 

 

The first dependent has been added and is shown under the Select covered dependents area of the screen.

 

 

A second dependent is being added for this example.  Note that checking or unchecking the boxes for Is disabled, Is a student and Is a smoker is not necessary.

 

 

A third dependent is being added for this example.  Note that checking or unchecking the boxes for Is disabled, Is a student and Is a smoker is not necessary.

 

 

Once all dependents have been added, check the Select All checkbox, then click the Save selection button.

 

 

The Medical Insurance Election has been completed and the Rx Election is next.

 

 

The example below shows the selection of the EPO prescription drug coverage benefit.

 

 

The Rx Insurance Election is complete and FSA-Healthcare Flexible Spending Account is next.

 

 

Make a selection to indicate whether or not you wish to enroll in the FSA-Healthcare benefit coverage.

 

 

The FSA-Healthcare Flexible Spending Account Account Election is complete and next is FSA-Dependent Care.

 

 

Make a selection to indicate whether or not you wish to enroll in the FSA-Dependent Care benefit coverage.

 

 

Dental Insurance is the next benefit enrollment item.  This benefit is broken into three categories, detailed as follows.

- dental coverage for employees making less than $40,000 per year

- dental coverage for employees making more than $40,000 per year

- waiving dental coverage

 

 

Vision Insurance is the next benefits item to be addressed.

 

 

Vision Insurance is the next benefit enrollment item.  This benefit is broken into three categories, detailed as follows.

- Vision coverage for employees making less than $40,000 per year

- Vision coverage for employees making more than $40,000 per year

- waiving Vision coverage

 

 

The example below shows an employee making more than $40,000 per year electing the employee and family coverage, adding all three previously entered dependents.

 

 

With the Vision Insurance Election complete, the next item is district paid life insurance.

 

 

In the example below, district paid life insurance is acknowledged and a beneficiary is to be added.

 

 

This example beneficiary is a person (trust is the other choice available).  Ensure all information for the beneficiary is entered.

 

 

In this example, a single person is the life insurance beneficiary.  Note that this person must be added as the primary beneficiary, receiving 100% of the benefit.  This person must also be added as the secondary beneficiary, receiving 100% of the benefit.

 

 

The next item is voluntary life insurance, ie. life insurance paid for by the employee.  Note that a selection must be made - waiving this benefit is available once you click Make selection.

 

 

The Life Insurance-Voluntary - Admin Support detail is shown below.

 

 

In this example, Option 2 was selected and the previously entered beneficiary is to be the only beneficiary to receive the entitlement.

 

Note that this person must be added as the primary beneficiary, receiving 100% of the benefit.  This person must also be added as the secondary beneficiary, receiving 100% of the benefit. 

 

 

The long term disability benefit selection is next.

 

 

In this example, the district-paid long term disability benefit is acknowledged.  Note that detail of this benefit have also been displayed by clicking on the View details button.

 

 

The next benefit for election is the Employee Assistance Program.

 

 

Select Acknowledgement to ensure that the EAP benefit is to be acknowledged.

 

 

The final item to address is the Annual Notices entry.

 

 

Ensure that you review the Annual Benefit Notices documentation using the THIS link shown below.  After review, mark the Acknowledgement selection.

 

 

Once all selections have been made, indicated by a green checkmark next to each respective Benefit selection, you are ready to make a final review of your selections.  To do so, click the Review & submit button.

 

 

After a final review, you can submit your selections by clicking on the Confirm & submit button.

 

 

Once processed by our human resources department, you can review your benefits by visiting Tyler Employee Access and choosing Current benefits under the My benefits heading.
