Your SSO account requires further protection. If you have been using text messaging to receive SSO account login codes, the guidance in this article will help you transition away from text message codes to the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Using your phone, open a web browser and go to aka.ms/mysecurityinfo.
Enter your SSO account username.
Enter your SSO account password.
Tap the Text button in order to receive your text message code.
Enter the code send via text message.
Tap the Add sign-in method button.
Select the Authenticator app choice and tap the Add button.
Tap the Download now link, which takes you to a web page allowing you to download the Microsoft Authenticator app. After downloading the Microsoft Authenticator app, return to this screen and tap the Next button.
Tap the Pair your account to the app by clicking this link selection, which takes yo uto the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Your SSO account will be shown in the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Go back to your web browser and take note of the number presented. Then, go to the Microsoft Authenticator app. Note that you may see a notification at the top of your screen, allowing you to easily move to the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Enter the number from your web browser into the Microsoft Authenticator app, then tap the Yes button.
Go back to the web browser and you should see the Microsoft Authenticator Notification approved message. Tap the Next button.
Tap the Change button and choose App based authentication - notification in the Change default method prompt, then tap Confirm.
