A new role has been created in Canvas titled Content Observer - Admin. This role allows its users to search for courses within Canvas while providing Read-Only access. Users with this role are limited to the courses within their respective building. You can search for courses using the steps outlined below.

1. Click the Admin [1] icon in the top left corner of the Canvas navigation pane and select the appropriate building. In this example, you would click Upper St. Clair High School [2].

2. Select Courses [1] on the next screen to open the course search menu. This screen shows a list of all courses within that building over the course of multiple years. In order to narrow down your search, first click Filter by Term [2] and select the current term. In this example the current term is 2024/2025 - Upper St. Clair High School - Semester 1 - Summer School. The next dropdown menu allows you to filter by course name or teacher. In this example you would click Teacher [3]. Finally you would enter the last name of the Teacher [4]. You should now see a list containing only the courses in the current term taught by that specific teacher. Click the course title to open the course.
