Damage to District-provided equipment will be billed at the following rates. 

 

All charges will be emailed to a student's parents using an electronic invoice. Full payment of invoices is required by the date printed on the invoice (typically 7 days after being issued).

 

The rates in this article are applicable if a Chromebook is determined by the School District to have:

• Intentional damage, abuse, vandalism, or improper use/care, which results in structural damage including, but not limited to: bending, missing parts/components, dents, scratches, cracks, modifications, or disassembly of the device, etc.
• Excessive wear and tear

 

Lost or Stolen Devices

Students who lose their district-provided device will be billed for the full cost. If a lost device is found and turned in to the Technology Department by June 30th of the current school year, the lost device fee will be refunded to the original method of payment, provided the device is in full working condition.

 

The lost device fees are as follows:

A stolen device will be billed at the same rates as a lost device unless a police report is provided regarding the theft, at which point the device will be replaced free of charge.

Repairs will be billed at the part level. If multiple parts need to be repaired or replaced, each part will be billed as a separate line item.

 

The flat-rate replacement charge for a Lenovo 500e Chromebook is $400.00.
